Official Google Webmaster Central Blog: Google does not use the keywords meta tag in web ranking

This is important to undertand because many people believe that keywords are essential to good Google results. In this official video from Google, it is clear that Keywords in Meta Tags are not used by Google in Google Ranking. It is clear that the content of the page is by far more important that adding a bunch of keywords to a page or post. However, it is important to understand that this video and post deal with Keywords in Meta Tags. I need to do a bit more research on the difference between Keywords in Meta Tags and Keywords added to a WordPress Blog. I'll keep you posted.
